Janna Hoza Rotary’s April Student

Janna Hoza, Hayden High School Senior, was recognized as “Student of the Month” by the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club this week.  Janna’s father Brian joined her for the presentation at the Steamboat Grand. Janna graduates in May from Hayden High School and also receives her Associate’s Degree from Colorado Mountain College. 

She has maintained a 4.14 GPA at Hayden during her high school career. Janna is one of only 42 students in Colorado who have been honored this year as a Boettcher Scholar.  She is currently vice president of the student council and her senior class as well as president of the school’s chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America.  She is also a member of the Peer Helpers Club, El Pomar Youth and Community Service, National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, Community Action Network and has earned a letter this year in volleyball.   

Jana was selected to represent Hayden High School as a sophomore at the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar and will return this year as a junior leader.   She is an active volunteer completing nearly 300 hours of service on community projects since 2006.  She also works part time at the Hayden Mercantile and Totally Kids.     

Janna plans to attend the University of Denver in the fall.    “Janna joins a list of truly inspirational young men and women who have been honored as Rotary Students of the Month,” Sandy Evans Hall, Steamboat Springs Rotary Club president said.
